Happy Feet
Perpetually on the hunt for treasures, I stumbled upon Tipsy Skipper on both The Daily Prep and Classy Girls Wear Pearls. I immediately fell in love with the whimsical prints and their equally witty names.
Having cleverly memorized my Visa number ages ago (along with the expiration date and CVC code) I was able to speed my purchase along and hustle them into my cart before they were all sold out.
The website suggests ordering a 1/2 size smaller and even if you havetree-trunk wide feet--DO IT! They run large and I even my hooves needed to be shimmied into a smaller size.
If you have sizing questions, Kearsley Lloyd is fabulous! I must also add that they are made in the USA, which is an even better reason to slip a pair on this spring!
I am hoping that they get more Skipper Skimmers in stock as I am definitely needing the Shellacked in Conch to compliment my soon-to-be gorgeous gams!

Comfort & Joy Soap
I am obsessed with handmade soaps! Every time I spy a farmers market I make a bee-line to sample the smells of someone's handiwork. Even on vacation I drag my husband all over creation seeking out special locally made soaps.
While at a fall festival this past October I stumbled across Comfort & Joy soap in New York state. Besides being affordable at 3 bars for $15, they were large bars. They come packaged in little muslin sacks with pretty labels that make perfect gifts for hostesses or a little pick-me-up for yourself.
With Spring right around the corner, I am looking forward to a few citrusy scents...
I did place an order recently and added on a "Sampler Packet" and this is a great way to try scents that you possibly wouldn't have purchased otherwise. It is $5.50 and has 6 individually wrapped mini-soaps.
Lather Up!!!!

The PERFECT Pink
There is no question that Sperry makes amazing shoes. My closet is bursting with sailboat-adorned boxes just waiting to be opened. Nick can't complain because his Sperry stockpile rivals my own perfectly curated collection.
I was dizzy with delight after I zoomed past the display in Nordstrom this past weekend and found Hot Pink mocs screaming out "Buy Me! Buy Me!" and, having owned several styles from the purveyors of happy feet previously, didn't even need to do a spin around the sales floor before swiping my card faster than you can say puttheminthebag!
So...without further adieu, here is the most perfect display of pink pigmentation on a piece of footwear that I have ever laid my eyes on.

Music to My Ears
There are few phrases that rarely pass through the lips of my dear husband. He is wonderful, but -- like most husbands -- always questions "do you really need insert item I most likely DO NOT need here?!"
I do not wear shorts that often but I do love the Lilly Pulitzer Callahan shorts. They have a 5" inseam, unlike mosthoochie cute ones that only sport a 3"-3.5". I don't know about you, but after 30 a girl should show some modesty. I am IN LOVE with the new patch print "State of Mind" so I had to order them immediately from Zappos. (free shipping both ways how could you go wrong?) Two days before I had set my sights on the "Jungle Glam Toile," and had wasted no time placing my orders before these babies were sold out. I knew that I would most likely send one back, especially because I just added a little jaunt to Nantucket immediately following my Newport vaca and would love to pick up a couple trinkets by way of a new lightship basket purse that doesn't exactly run cheap.
Once they arrived I immediately ripped the boxes open and paraded around in my espadrilles. I did a quick comparison of the two, as I was not intending on keeping them both.
"Jungle Glam" is part of the "Originals" Collection and although the same size as "State of Mind,"are roomier and the fabric has a more worn-in feel. The print that I have has a lounging lady of leisure as opposed to the group party print shown on the Zappos website. It all depends on which part of the fabric your pair of shorts is cut from.
As I am tszujing in front of the mirror imagining how nice it would be to pack both for my getaway, he says "Why don't you just keep both?" (GASP!) BOTH?! I can't believe my lil' ears.
So....after careful deliberation, I have decided not to pass up this chance. Tags are snipped, receipts shredded and hopes of warmer weather and suntanned legs are ahead (before he changes his mind!)
With shorts, capris, and tees in the stores already, how is your summer wardrobe shaping up?

"State of Mind" looks much better in person. The colors are more uniform and a have a nice washed look, although New Jersey is really hard to pick out. Some patches are repeated more than others and are also more detailed. New Jersey hidden on the back, and I only found 1 patch with my dear home state.

Laziness or a very active social life?
I have this tendency to take hundreds of photos on vacation. Said pics will then be put into painstakingly cut, glued and stickered scrapbooks. I have done this for 12 years. The last 4 my husband has questioned the enthusiasm that has waned in relation to these masterpieces of vacation memories.
With two days off of work I have assigned myself the task of completing last years journeys, especially before we start this years round of adventures.
I should also mention that I am missing pages from several Christmas' ago (2010 for instance is a complete blank.) So to any of my family members that might have a shot or two of Nick and I, it would be most appreciated if you email that A-S-A-P!!!
Bar Harbor in July as well as Nantucket & Provincetown in October were my main hurdle today. So, after a quick lil' jaunt to A.C. Moore I was well on my way to getting my husband off my back and having far less clutter in my entryway.
I don't know about you, but I save EVERYTHING from our trips...menus, visitors guides, even newspapers.
10 hours and 51 pages later I have yet to even think about Provincetown...and I ran out of stickers.
Tomorrow I am off again to the mecca of crafts to get another album and a truckload more of Jolee's stickers.
How do you document your family vacations?
Here are a few of my favorite photos.
Enjoy!
